Another great Noam Chomsky speech
Noam Chomsky, IN a perfect world, This man would be president.
“Noam Chomsky (born December 7, 1928) is an American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, historian, social critic and political activist. Sometimes described as “the father of modern linguistics”, Chomsky is also a major figure in analytic philosophy and one of the founders of the field of cognitive science. He holds a joint appointment as Institute Professor Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and laureate professor at the University of Arizona, and is the author of over 100 books on topics such as linguistics, war, politics, and mass media. Ideologically, he aligns with anarcho-syndicalism and libertarian socialism.”
In this Lecture from May 2018, Noam Chomsky discusses the major threats to the human race and other important issues of today.
Noam Chomsky, what an incredible individual, What I really admire about Noam Chomsky’s speeches is his ability to portray honesty of very critical issues whilst still holding such a calm and composed attitude, it sort of seems to increase the listeners ability to take in the gravity of the situations he is describing, I sometimes find it hard to find words to find enough words of praise for this amazing human being. Best this time around that I let some of his listeners tell their praise in the few of many comments I have quoted from the above video.
Chomsky is far more than just a first-class intellectual, a genuine patriot, and a conscientious individual; he is an incontestable and unparalleled national treasure. This country is lucky to have such a singularly decent, well-informed, and courageous human being among its citizens.?
He should be granted the Nobel Prize . Do you agree with me??
IN a perfect world…… This man would be president.?
Amazing how at 89 Chomsky is still sharper, more well spoken, and more intelligent than anyone else I’ve ever seen.?
How is it that Chomsky is a lone voice on so many issues??
very illuminating and prominent scholar. I love you professor Noam. Your life is wholly dedicated to the moral cause….?
Living proof of what it means to be an honest human being.?
Noam Chomsky is truly a hero.?
A speech of wisdom. A warning to humility. A watchman on the wall.??
Noam Chomsky, the Einstein of our century. … Every American should learn from him, watch his videos. The USA would even be a better country and could be again the moral leader of the world. A position it once had after WW 2, but lately has lost. That makes me sad. Noam my great hope. I love him.?
I’m grateful I’ve gotten share the world with Noam Chomsky. He reminds of what’s possible and that’s desperately needed in these days.
It seems like a lot of people at his lectures want to be told how to make a difference or how to make the established order understand that a change has to happen and the answer is always the same – do what worked before. It takes finding people who share your desire for change, deciding what and how that change should happen, taking that message to the wider public audience, and then living your own life as true to the change you are trying to bring to the world. Then get up tomorrow and do it all over again with the knowledge that even though you spent every day for the rest of your life doing this, you still might not ever actually see the change you are trying to make happen. But maybe, just maybe..
As mentioned, these are just a small snippet of the endless line of people with positive comments for Noam Chomsky, a great human, an incredible individual, more of which we could really do with on this planet.

A FUNNY PERSONAL STORY
I’m a bit of an Ancient History fan despite my dyslexia and the fact I attended 10 schools in 12 years in 3 countries, basically it meant I was virtually illiterate on leaving school. However, in the Science’s Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Materials & Technical Drawing I excelled, so WTF am I doing writing Posts, well illiteracy is not just an indicator of intelligence, it may be an indication of a poor education system.
But wait there’s more!… about 20 years ago I suffered a TBI which left me with a non functioning Short Term Memory, so I decided to take up writing Posts to exercises my brain made possible by my Laptop’s spell check and the read it back to me function that was a partly successful work-around, that would have helped me with my Metallurgy/Engineering studies. The fact I was lucky enough to have Lecturers who despite running out of red ink from circling all my misspelt words in my various reports they were kind enough to allow for the dyslexia, unlike the previous link I will point out that I’m not a ‘Famous’ dyslectic… I’m more an infomas type in that I hate corrupt power seekers. To those with dyslexia studding my workaround was to pay attention and more importantly ask question, if your not sure you understood say so… hint, if you understand the subject there is little reason to study.
Talking about dyslexics, did you hear about the dyslexic agnostic insomniac who stayed up all night wondering if there really was a dog?
On the positive side I was lucky to have a decent ‘IQ’ & Abstract Reasoning plus because of my stubborn defiance against being control (socially engineered)… as well as a very unusual upbringing; I was referred to as a ‘Bush Boy’ (white boy born in Kenya gone native), what looks to be a disadvantage is in fact an advantage since I’ve never under gone any form of successful ‘social engineering’… you know being force fed religion or the ‘conform be silent die’ BS.
As a consequence of the above I could barely read or write until an neighbour gave me a copy of H G Wells An Outline of History written in around 1920, well I couldn’t put it down. Now obviously it is somewhat dated but it was for me very interesting and I still love his style of writing and the audiobook version read brilliantly with all it’s nuances by Bernard Mayes is still a joy to me.
So here’s the funny part of my story
I’ve mentioned my total lack of ‘social engineering’ my philosophical solution is more the ‘Lead, follow or get out of the way’ which means I’m no fan of commercial MSM (Main Stream Media) but a curious thing occurred much later in life, I kept hearing about the Kardashians, naturally enough being an Ancient History fan I thought it was related to an ancient battle site fought in 1274 B.C. between Egypt’s Pharaoh Ramses II and the Hittite ruler Muwatalli… I still laugh about that misunderstanding, and the fact it really is ‘Reality’ TV that I’m laughing about, though to be perfectly honest I’m embarrassed that a seemingly large proportion of Aussies are so easily led.
The Egyptian version of the original world’s first Peace Treaty which currently resides in the UN building in New York, apparently the Hittite’s ruler Muwatalli’s version is far closer to the truth than the YouTube version put forward by Ramses II, who just about bankrupted ancient Egypt constructing magnificent monuments to himself… lesson to be learnt he’s not the Messiah nor for that matter are our politicians.
I just can’t help myself.
I actually attended the first showings of Life of Brian in Sydney which was picketed by god botherers… and they were suitably mercilessly tortured with Monty Python quotes from the Movie goers.
Quote from Monty Python and The Holy Grail
“King Arthur: I am your king.
Peasant Woman: Well, I didn’t vote for you.
King Arthur: You don’t vote for kings.
Peasant Woman: Well, how’d you become king, then?
King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your king.
Dennis the Peasant: Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
Arthur: Be quiet!
Dennis the Peasant: You can’t expect to wield supreme power just ’cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!”
To use a phrase from a distant past… It’s Time!
Time for an Australian Republic folks; with a decent National Anthem. Whilst we are at it we should ban all political donations and include an Australian Bill of Rights as well as a fully funded independent National ICAC with teeth, it’s also my belief that any government official proven to have broken Laws for personal gain should suffer twice the penalty. Whilst on the topic of Laws, our Common Laws must be written in plain unambiguous English. We must also have a close look at the Australian Constitution to see what damage has been done to Australian well-being without the legal requirement of a Referendum, such as the selling off of our crucial financial assets like Water, Power, Communications and Land sold off to foreign nations passed by successive High Court Judges & Politicians; neither of which are to be blindly trusted with regards to our original 1901 Constitution.

The Hypocrisy of ‘Freedom of Information’… being a one way street
Scott Morrison Wants to Ban Climate Protests.
Personally I believe that Dark Forces were behind Morrison’s win, since I find it hard to believe he’s really Intelligent… Sneaky and ‘Cleverer’ enough to gain the support of those who hide behind the ‘Antisemitic’ defense… Morrison did after all make one of his first decision as PM to give Jerusalem to the ‘Jews’ despite the fact that the a lot of the genuine Semitic Jews opposed that decision. Another point worth mentioning is the Jews in Iran: One of the biggest diaspora communities outside Israel.
